Prayer is a major topic within Christian theology. The biblical text has various references to recorded and reported prayers. In fact, prayer are found the rich diversity of books, corpora genres Scripture. As can be expected, much been written about in text. However, comprehensive Biblical Theology dealing with concept Scripture not published before, this book intends fill gap, assuming that such an approach provide valuable contribution theological discourse on related concepts. This aims investigate its elements – including worship, praise, thanksgiving, adoration, petition, intercession, lament confession Old Testament book-by-book or corpus-by-corpus basis. investigation follows Theological approach, reading basis final form uncover Testament’s overarching theology prayer, understanding parts relation whole. By doing this, discrete nuances prayers different books uncovered, letting speak for themselves. addition, advantage it provides findings benefit modern community contribute practice Reformed Africa. significant value scholars.
